I recently met an old friend that I have not seen for almost 5 years. It was great to meet up with her again after all this while over a cup of coffee. Somehow or another, our conversation, as always, ended up with us talking about coffee.
Anyway, her birthday is coming up and I have been thinking about what to get her. Most importantly, removing the coffee pot halfway through the brewing cycle do not leave any dribble over the heating plate. This is because the valve closes automatically when you take out the coffee pot.

The Kf580 has a timer set to let you brew your coffee while you are sleeping and it can keep your coffee warm up to 4 hours after brewing, just in case you overslept.

Water, Water, Everywhere?

A dirty water filter can cause your coffee to have a bad taste and odor. You must replace the water filter on a regular basis if you want to ensure highest quality of filtered water in your coffee and taste cannot be compromised. The permanent cone shape filter is optimal for taste extraction from your coffee grounds and Braun Kf580 gives you the option to either use the permanent or paper filters. Whichever option you use, it is highly recommended that you change your water filter on a monthly basis. More often so if your usage is high.
Anyway, it has a swing-out filter basket that comes with an automatic quick release at the touch of a button that makes cleaning and filling easy.

I love the fact that this coffee maker is dishwasher safe and comes with a non slip open handle design. You can expect it to churn and brew 8 cups of coffee in 7 minutes flat and it does not leak unless you are clumsy or you pour your coffee too fast.
It comes with a one year warranty but please do remember to fill out your warranty card and mail it back to them. Do also remember to keep your receipt.
Just a little tip I hope you will find useful, use 10 grams of coffee for every 6oz of water for that perfect brew every time
